Mother Earth and its beautiful blue color (as seen from space) is the inspiration behind the Cobalt blue hue. Cobalt blue was first recorded as a color name in English back in 1777. Now, in 2019, it is one of the seven colors of PANGAIA (Pan meaning ‘all-inclusive’, especially in relation to the whole of a continent, racial group or religion and Gaia meaning ‘Mother Earth’).
